i've always preferred hot shoeing, if one must shoe, since the heat, IMHO, helps kill any bugs and provides a better result all round, but M had probably never been hot shod....
My farrier hot shoes Tucker. It's one of the best ways to assure a good fit for the shoe. Monfils may have been hot shod at the track. Some track farriers around here do that.
