next lesson arranged for 7th october (holidays for RI intervene) longlining....need a lesson on that and see if we can get something to click with M on the ground...
did some tuesday night, at least he walked round and vague attempts at changing rein, but his heart wasn't in it
last night managed to get him walking a few circles round me, progress of a sort...
when i'm on the ground, it's as if he pays attention to anything BUT me if i;m asking for anything except following me about; but if i ask him to follow me about, he's quite happy to do that... which is all very well if that's what i want, but isn't going to get us a long way!
tonight, didn't do anything, it had rained on and off all day and threatening more... after going to visit gaynor, have spent the evening moving pics and videos of her & charlie that we had forgot i had onto a USB stick for her...
and, BTB, not riding as still not fully recovered from that crashing fall the other week; nicely bruised rib .... and the bruise on the behind is still touchy (albeit not on a spot that i sit on, but still...)
It always helps to have a lesson on the horizon. It would be nice to really get him going consistently on the ground so you can work him regardless of whether or not you can ride.
ReplyDeleteI would be great if you could get the groundwork sorted out. Hope the lesson comes off as planned.
ReplyDeleteSorry you are still sore, but healing.
Hope Gaynor is coping OK. Again, I send my best wishes.
