swimming whilst using a float to prevent overuse of the wrist means that the legs & thighs are getting even more work - which will, one imagines, be good for my riding once i can get back on!
seriously, swimming using legs only is VERY hard work, it's amazing how much use one makes of ones hands/arms in the process...
Ah, I am again longing for the pool. I will have to go soon.
ReplyDeleteSwimming is great exercise for the whole body. It should get you nice and fit for riding.
I've done it; I know! I have to stop and rest a lot when I do that. I love the opposite, swimming with the leg float and working only my arms. I get plenty of leg exercise: running, biking and riding, so I try to really work my upper body swimming.
