from rain to dry

but oh the mud 1/2 hour or so to get it all off and get the coat smooth enough to put a saddle on it... all the while waiting for a little bit at the top of the neck to dry (which it did).

then some nice trot work, followed by the saddle slipping back and dropping down :-( tedious he'd being going really nicely .....

hopefully, DV, lesson at the weekend...

  1. One of my former trainers said all she did was brush enough mud off to put the saddle on before a ride. Makes a lot of sense when you consider that your horse is probably just going to go back out to roll in the mud again as soon as the ride is over and the saddle is back off. *lol*
