the swelling wasn't as bad tonight when he came in as it had been, so clearly slowly subsiding...
vet thought probably just bruising - said the tendon is definitely not implicated, or he would be lame.
did suggest another week's box rest, with light ridden work for exercise.....and normally I would go with that ... but.. then we've got the introductions to do again in the field .... and it is improving...so thought will carry on as we are for now....
