This wouldn't publish yesterday First time for months. Only about 15 mins and dratted saddle slipped down slightly boo. Sometimes happens and not sure why but he don't like it when it does.

I was wrong,
Gaynor rode despite the rain cos she said it was just fine mizzle at the yard, and she schooled bareback and then went out fir a walk. TBH nit totally bareback there's a bareback pad.
So tonight I did 5 minutes in hand
And he's in a much lighter rug as it's warmer. 10 degrees

sun and wind.
i got the best of the weekend yesterday, glorious sun whilst running about doing Saturday messages, a bit windy, but that dropped when it cam time for me to ride, and it was even vaguely warm! so i had a good time yesterday. not sure if G is going to be able to today, it was a howling gale this morning but think it's dropped enough now.... hope so

keen to go
Gaynor's day yesterday, and thankfully the weather was kind. Sadly the traffic gods weren't, she says - she wanted to go up round the riding school and back, which involves crossing a road, but there'd been an RTA and the police wouldn't let her off the land on to the road, so she had to come back.. she then met the mud gods - the 20 acre field is pretty wet and M didn't want to go into it - don't blame him, I've not had a horse yet that would go in deep going! - but did eventually - when he wasn't objecting to the mud he wanted to canter, but nowhere safe to do so... please she got out! i had to come home tonight because partner (whose back from guatemala) wanted an early tea..... but it had gone cold again...

In hand.
There was enough light and no wind or rain do I removed the mud added the bridle and did 5 minutes in hand. Was good. He's getting the hang of lateral and so am I :-)

mop my fevered brow :-)
actually managed to ride my horse.
after the gales etc of this last week (at least we haven't been flooded up north!) today was glorious sunshine and just a minor breeze! excellent
Not that i did a huge amount - a fortnight since we did anything - just about 1/2 hour (i'd forgotten my watch! so guessing) - after about an hour to get the mud off!

today's lesson
This is the last 15 minutes. We'd both done enough ridden work by then lol. Lots and lots of trot interspersed with lateral work in walk so we thought some in hand for the last 15 was a plan. i did so some (on other rein); at this point, RI was becoming engrossed. This is not Becky from last week, this is my regular RI (who also trains with Becky, or did before she had to have her horse pts recently :-( )
